Additional Info- Incorporating a News Article? Please Help!

I would like for admissions officers to read an article published locally that is about me and my role on the football team. Will they indeed pull it up to read if I give them the URL?

I worded it in the "Additional Information" secion as follows:
For an additional snapshot of me, please follow this link to an article from my local newspaper. The article reflects how I have always striven to succeed in both academics and athletics.
<a href="http://address/article/you-get-the-idea.com%5B/url%5D">http://address/article/you-get-the-idea.com</a></p>

Is this an acceptable way of going about this? Do adcoms even care to read articles about their applicants? The article is of decent length, 670 words. If it matters, I'll be applying to some top tier schools (Dartmouth, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Vandy)

Thanks!

Bump Bump Bump

I wouldn’t add it. It only reiterates information found elsewhere on your app.

Thanks, any other opinions? The article is essentially an additional recommendation, as my coaches (and the author) compliment me throughout.

If it was in USA Today or the NYT, I’d include because they are national publications.

But a local newspaper article?

Its more meh…

Yeah, I see what you mean. I may still include it, but I’ll present it as:
IF YOU WOULD LIKE an additional snapshot of me, please follow this link to an article from my local newspaper. The article reflects how I have always striven to succeed in both academics and athletics.

Any other opinions? Any former/current admissions officers out there?
