How should the Additional Information Section be formatted? I have had an extenuating circumstance in my family, and I’d like to write it in essay format (I think it’s actually a bit cute). Should it be concise and bullet-point style? I don’t think I would be able to convey the emotions I’d like to if I were to do it in bullet-point style.
I’d be careful using that section in this way (and I can’t see how “cute” will help you with admissions if you are asking for slack because of deficiencies in your application due to this situation). Can you ask your GC to address whatever it is in a matter of fact way in their recommendation? That is often the best way to handle this.
The additional info section is the appropriate section to write about any extenuating circumstances or info you would like to share that you haven’t already in other parts of the application. I don’t think the format is as important as the information.
