In January I attended a about 1000 person MUN conference and was nominated to attend a Conference on national affairs in the summer for which only 25 of the 1000 students get chosen. I was wondering if this was something I would want to add to my college apps? Is it too trivial or should I email my schools and let them know? Or is there a more official way to make changes?

There is a number of different ways to go about this… I would say you should let your colleges know! Obviously, you are proud of the (big) accomplishment. By informing colleges of this (although not completely necessary), I think it shows initiative and dedication to your college process. I actually just updated my college apps w/ a State Championship for M.T. It’s not essential, yet it can never hurt. You can either email your admissions counselor directly, email the undergraduate admissions office, or update your application online (if not using the CommonApp) - the process for doing this will differ from school to school, so I would do a little research before you just start shooting off random emails to people. I would definitely consider updating your app - this is an honorable recognition. Congrats & Best of Luck!

Thank you so much! :)
