Recently, I have moved houses and my address has changed. I've tried to tell the school I'm applying to, but many schools don't reply to e-mails this late.

Do you think I should go to my old house on March 10th to collect my admission letters or call the schools to tell them? Or have the e-mails been read, just not responded to?

I don't want to bother schools at such a busy time, but going to my old home would be a bother for my parents to drive me.

Thanks in advance for any responses!

email them! they’ll understand

Your parents have certainly filed a change of address form with the post office so there shouldn’t be any of your mail going to your old address. It will get to you, but probably a day late since the PO technically forwards all the mail from the old to the new.

(I’m assuming you’re in the US. If you’re not, I have no idea what happens.)

But by all means, pick up the phone tomorrow and CALL the MAIN admissions number, the same one you would call to schedule an interview. Just tell whoever answers the phone what your new address is and ask them to please send your decision there. They should understand.

Yes, my parents have sent notice to the post office, so mail should be fine. However, if I do get accepted, will the packages that aren’t through the mailbox be sent to my new home as well?

If so, I wouldn’t mind waiting the extra day or so.

If it’s USPS, then yes. If it’s FedEx, then no…it will go to whatever address the school has on file. Seriously, have your mom call tomorrow.

They might been sent to your old house. If you know the people who moved in, you could see if you could swing by one day, leave your number, and have them collect your mail for you. Then maybe a few days later (to give them some space to relax and get used to their house, and for all the packages to come) go pick it up. :)

Okay, thanks for the help everyone!
