I'm new to CC, and am totally enjoying and appreciating everyone's wisdom. My d is taking a gap year and we are waiting for college acceptances just like the rest of you. My d moved after she filled out her applications, so, the colleges have her old address. And her old address is not our home since she moved out last fall. Even though she notified the post office of her address change, I can't stand the wait one day longer than I need to. It looks from your posts, like many colleges she applied to, send out snail mail, and don't email decisions. Do you think it will hurt her chances of getting into colleges if I notify them of her change of address? And do you think I should do it by email or phone call?
Believe it or not, she says she can wait, so since I'm the one dying to hear, she says I should notify schools. Any thoughts?

I would be concerned that, at this late date, calling with an address change could cause the decision to be delayed. I may be wrong. Hopefully someone else will be along who knows more.
