addressing admissions officers directly in essays?

What do you think about this? Obviously nothing like, HEY PLZ ACCEPT ME!! i'm thinking more like rhetorical questions, that kind of stuff?

it all depends on your writing style/ how good of a writer you are. don’t try anything too over the top if you can’t support it with, let’s face it, phenomenal writing. In fact, you shouldn’t plan tricks before you write the essay: let it flow out of you, then add something quirky IF IT FITS. Forced uniqueness is never ever ever a good essay. Just BE YOURSELF. that’s how you know if you belong somewhere, if they accept you for who you are at the deepest level. From my experience, the best essay shoots out of you really quickly, maybe in an hour or less, and grammatical fine tuning is the only thing to worry about.
