Admission confusion

<p>Usually students that just finish their grade 12 start college in the fall semester as far as I know (September.. ?). I want to re-take the SAT because I want to get a merit scholarship, the issue is when. If I want to apply for the Fall semester at, let's say University of Texas at Dallas, what is the latest month in 2010/2011 I can take it in?
And what about Spring? </p>

<p>Also I heard that scholarship deadlines for Fall are the same for Spring. Is that true?</p>

<p>The scholarship deadline for UT of Austin is December 1st, how am I going to give them my GPA if my grades don't come out till next year ?</p>

<p>Time to spend some quality time with your guidance counselor so he/she can guide you through this. You will need to submit your test scores and GPA (through jr year) by 12/1. I would think that the Oct test date for the SAT would make it in time.</p>
