Admission decision before April 1?

Hahah ^^ they cancel eachother out.

i just got in. and got BEYOND a full ride. i think this just settled it. plus, my best friend got in too. we're just hoping he remembered to apply for financial aid (he's sort of silly about these things) hehe. im SO excited!
also, for him, if you didnt hear about a scholarship or a fellowship in the admission letter, will it come in the financial aid letter? im pretty sure the fellowship wont, but would scholarship? i really really really want him to come.

jocool, congrats. What awards did you get? Congratulations to all the other acceptees also. I know how hard it is to wait.

i got full tuition through this separate scholarship thing that i get because my dad teaches at birmingham southern, and they threw the presidential fellowship in on top of it. they also said in the letter they would have given me a better fellowship, but with me already having tuition and stuff, they saw no reason to.

Excellent. I'm very happy for you. A lot of tuition exchange deals are not that generous. I know at the school near me, it's only full-tuition if you go there (where your parent teaches/works).

I forgot to fill out the CSS profile sheet. Do you guys think that will affect my chances of getting any sort of financial aid? I did FAFSA.

Just curious after reading the earlier threads

Do it now. Send it now. My D had failed to do some FA docs at a couple of schools and still received a FA award. Now means now. I wouldn't ask. I'd do it first, ask later.

Ok, I'm working on it now. I've already been accepted. Will I still be eligible for financial aid or scholarships?

Excuse me. Did you guys receive email or post mail? I still have not heard anything from Rhodes. I sent the admissions office an email to ask about my decision letter. They only replied that letters were sent. T___T

MNIJ, my best guess is yes for FA. Again, based on my D's situation at other colleges in 06. As to scholarships I don't remember if FA submission was even required for scholarships, and I don't think it was at Rhodes. Somebody else could chime in. Pretty please.

Alright, thanks Curmudgeon. I've always wanted to go to Rhodes, but that little thing called money has deterred me away, so any way that I can maximize my chance of getting more money is more than welcome.

When my D applied last year, FA submission wasn't required for merit scholarships, and D did not submit those documents. She received the Morse, and notification came several days (or maybe a week?) after the admission letter.

Congrats to all the new Rhodents!
