Admission Decisions Class of 2023

Another question - because we’re at the end, is that a bad thing? Does it mean he was on the bubble? Or declined/deferred?

I doubt it means anything - I applied to honors and know several others in here did as well, so I’d assume it’s somewhat random but I’m not sure.

I asked the admissions rep if there was anything missing from my sons application as he hadn’t heard, as his application had been in since early Sept. (Even though I knew everything was there bc the portal said it was) She said all EA had just been mailed out as decisions were made and he should look in the mailbox later this week.

@njanxiousdad It is not a bad thing at all. We are out of state and my son found out in early November last year. However, most of his friends found out in the designated December week. Some were accepted, some earned scholarships, some were deferred and some were rejected. Hang in there!

@lastone03 thanks so much!

@njanxiousdad you’re welcome! It’s hard to figure out but somewhere in the South Carolina admissions office it all makes sense

Got accepted from Raleigh NC, got my letter today!.

anyone else from Northeast still waiting on a letter?

Yes I am! I’m in CT applied October 15th and still patiently waiting! Starting to freak out because it’s come so late, let’s hope it’s not a rejection.

I’m from CT and applied September 16th and haven’t heard anything yet

@yoa2001 we’re still waiting in NJ and freaking too. So many people have said being at the end has no significance. Hang in there!

My son was lucky enough to be in the first wave of letters this year. They sent them on Friday and we received on Monday in PA. Might take longer now given all the holiday mail.

My daughter received her letter in CT on 11/26 and a couple of days later the portal was updated with accepted student information.

Other kids in same town got their letters today but still nothing… and we are in SC. So frustrating… anxiety at an all time high! Hoping for a YES envelope tomorrow!

Im in the same boat, but from Mass!!!

@tc1207 Same situation here in Georgia. If it makes you feel better, my sophomore Gamecock didn’t receive her “YES” packet until 12/19 of her year. I swear everyone else from her school had already heard. This year we are waiting again for a packet for my HS senior. A few kids from our school got their packets today, but we are still waiting!!

Has anyone in Ohio received their packet yet (during the second wave)?

Waiting in PA, anxiously checking the mail

Same here in Rhode Island…UGGHHH!!

DS was accepted about a month ago. Guaranteed a minimum of $84,000 in scholarships/OOS tuition waiver. Waiting on Honors College Acceptance!! FIngers crossed!!!
