Admission Decisions

Hi! I just wanted to ask if the anyone knows if the admission decisions for the University of Pittsburgh are still being released. Just recently, about a week or two ago, I sent them my mid year high school grades, which was one of the parts required in order to complete my application according to a letter I got by the mail. I live in the state of California,so it is difficult for me to acquire more information about this University. I am really flustered by all of this. Can someone here please assist me on this problem? Thanks.

Also, I finished and submitted my application around the month of December 2014

@zaxway, Yes, we are still making admissions decisions. If you sent your grades a week or two ago, you should hear pretty soon. Perhaps in another week or so. If you would like to check the status of your application (whether we have received and processed your mid-year grades yet) you can log into my.pitt.edu. If you have any further questions about your specific application, you are welcome to call our office and one of our admissions processors can assist you. 412-624-7488.

Best of luck!

How much time does it take for SAT scores to disappear from my to do list as I sent them on may 26th? But, my transcripts have been received and have disappeared from the list.

@Tohoforever‌, they should disappear soon! If they aren’t off your to do list by the end of the week, you can feel free to give us a call to double check that we have them and they are processed. 412-624-7488. It does take a few days for us to receive and process anything you send, though. So there is no reason for you to worry, it should be done soon!

@hailtopitt1787 Thank you very much for your help. But, how much time will it take for my admission decision to be released via mypitt? Will it come before May 1st?My transcripts have already been received and have disappeared from the list.

@Tohoforever‌, Yes! You will certainly hear before May 1st. Your decision won’t show in my.pitt.edu first, we will reach out to you with the decision via email or snail mail.

Best of luck!

@hailtopitt1787 Thank you very much. Your replies have given me confidence. Have a good day sir.

@Tohoforever‌, You have a good day as well!

@hailtopitt1787 My SAT scores have reached. Thank you very much for your help once again. So, I think my decision will be announced within two weeks. Am I right?

@Tohoforever‌, 2-4 weeks is typical (though usually less than four, for sure).

I was happy to help. Let me know if you have other questions.

@hailtopitt1787 Thanks for your help. I got waitlisted for engineering and I had gotten into arts and sciences. But, I have applied for the waitlist list for engineering. What are the chances for waitlisted students?

@Tohoforever, Unfortunately, I can’t really speak to chances. It really depends on how many of the students we have admitted enroll in a given term and how many slots are ultimately left open. I wish I could give you more info, but I don’t work on the Admissions Committee personally and I really don’t know much more than that.

Best of luck,
