Admission into Harvard is a Divine Process

I didn't get into Harvard (I didn't even apply) but I did get into Caltech. I didn't really "think positively" about it before receiving the letter. Heck, after having been rejected from MIT, I felt sure I wouldn't get into Caltech and for a few days there I just wanted to receive Caltech's rejection and get the whole process behind me.

Now I'm no expert so you should take my words with a grain of salt... but, IMHO, what you wrote on your application is more important - actually, much more important - than positive thought.

Well.. I am taking this positive thinking to the max now, OP. I am thinking soooo positive..... I did not apply to MIT nor am I interested in going there, but with my positive thinking I am sure that I will get a letter of admission today,,,,just to make me feel good. Talk about influencing the adcoms right!?

I will keep you guys posted, but like the OP says...do not doubt !!

(i think i need a drink now..)

I don't think too much will make up for "lower grades"
it depends how low and how many "low" grades. does your school rank?
