When is it for 2014?
I heard that last year it was March 9th...

It is normally on the Saturday before Pi day (3/14) at 3 PM

Does that mean they do not include financial aid in their acceptance letters, because their financial aid deadline is March 16?

Will the official notification date be posted on the Caltech website? Or do they send applicants an email with the date? (Or are we just left in the dark until we get the decision email?)

Rgosula, are you sure that Caltech’s financial aid deadline is March 16…?

According to this site:
<a href=“New Domestic Applicants - Regular Decision | Financial Aid”>https://finaid.caltech.edu/applying/NewDomesticReg

I imagine they’d be able to come up with a preliminary package based off of your CSS Profile and/or FAFSA.

When do they let us know when we find out?

According to past years weren’t we supposed to be notified the Saturday before MITs decison date? Does anyone know why they didn’t do this this year?

Well MIT hasn’t released when their notification date is (while typically 3/14, it doesn’t have to be), and therefore, maybe Caltech WILL notify you the Saturday before MIT’s decision :)

Actually MIT did officially confirm 3/14 as the release date through an email last Thursday

actman21 is correct. I don’t know why Caltech has fallen behind this year, but now it’s awkward for applicants since we no longer have a way of knowing when to expect the decision email…

Agreed. Was anyone else waiting for an email this weekend aswell?

Me too :)

Lol! I think everyone was madly refreshing their emails, only to be disappointed.

Does anyone have any updates on when it might come out? Could it be on pi day…?

No one really knows. It will come out before Sunday for sure. At least that’s what Caltech says.
