My question is, I'm applying in the fall and my gpa falls within the 3.30-3.69 and my act is 26-30 category. So I would have a 59.7% chance of getting in,right?

Not at all. A gpa of 3.30-3.69 is a 27.2% admittance. Plus, you have to think that most of the time those with the 26-30 ACT probably had a 3.9+ gpa. Low GPA + Low Test Score = not good.

It’s not possible to determine your percentages of getting in at all. One can only say that it is likely, not likely or 50/50. In your case, it can probably go either way, so it probably all comes down to your essays or something.

dude read the fine print these are not used for indicators of your chances of getting in.

Grades are one part of the selection process, along with your personal statement, your family/financial situation, and simply other things that make you stand out above the rest (community service, achievements, personality, experience).

And it is totally different from year to year.

You just have to catch the eye of the admission officers handling your application. He/she can be *ed off and be stingy, while he/she can also be in a good mood and be more lenient. Plus, with the * economy, standards are constantly changing.

1 year ago, UCI/UCD/UCSB had around the same admission rates. Due to budget cuts, UCI and UCD cut admissions alot more than UCSB.
