Admission rate low, but hard to get into...?

Hey I was wondering about GTown... I mean it is definitely one of the top institutions in the nation with ivy caliber. But I was curious about its acceptance rate of 23%. I mean I know rankings dont mean that much but when I look at Emory, Uchicago, Vandy, they have rates near 40% and they ranked higher than G-Town. Though Gtown has a lower ranking, do they accept students of a bit lower caliber than the ones admitted to Ivies? I suppose could I put it on par wiht NYU as far as who they accept, what SATS and GPA scores they have..?

Sorry but no one can take you seriously with a name like "harvard2400."

I think it's a lot better than NYU...
NYU gets a lot of applicants because of its location, but I think Gtown expects more academically and can afford to be more selective...

I think Georgetown is ranked low mostly because of its small endowment, but academically I would consider it to be on par with Chicago and above Emory and Vandy.

oh really, ok

yeah I was simply curious about it.

With respect to its non-science programs, I would rank it higher than WUSTL. It is arguably on par with Northwestern in that regard.

yes, this has been discussed at length. it's all about the $$$$$$$$$$
