<p>Ok but for serial, UCLA is a better school in most areas, making it... well.. a better school. But UCLA did set the record for applicants out of all schools this year, and a higher number of applicants means a lower percentage of admits, even if the admit count was the same as last year.</p>
<p>My radar detects incorrect mathematical formulas.</p>
<p>Admit rate = Admits / Applicants</p>
<p>Case 1: 5,000 admits / 40,000 applicants = 12.5% Admit rate</p>
<p>Case 2: 5,000 admits / 50,000 applicants = 10% Admit rate</p>
