I plan on transfering to a school with a good business program (top 100) not ivy league but something like UNC. I have a 4.0 GPA and everything else is decent. Unfortunately, I was falsely arrested in another state for driving under the influence of drugs at age 19. The drug test proved I was not under the influence of any substance ( 0 drugs were found, not even a single trace amount). The case was dropped before my first court date and my bail money was sent via mail. I don't plan on sealing my record YET b/c of the serious $$$$ I will have to forfeit and my parents will probably find out about my arrest. Since I was falsely arrested and was not convicted can I say I have never been arrested on my application if they even ask??? Will this hinder my chances of getting into a good school?

Ask a counselor at your current school.

Or, ask a counselor at a school you plan on going to.

On the phone, they usually don't ask your name unless you ask them check something.
