Trying to transfer

Hey, I'm trying to transfer out of my current south east private university; my cumulative GPA is 3.2 with 3.9 in my major, SAT of 1300. I have very good references. The thing I'm worried about the most is the fact that I have to check the box for enduring some disciplinary measure - probation. I was put on probation about a month ago and it will be over in May. I was charged once with alcohol then later with climbing out a window (completely innocent act, apparently you can't do that). How should I go about writing this into my application, or do you guys think admissions will see this and just toss my application away? All that will show up is that I am on probation, and my adviser will write that it is due to alcohol OR the climbing out the window; any advice on which one admissions would think was less-worse? This is an odd thread I know, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hey, if anyone could just respond with any sort of advice, I would appreciate it.

You do have a chance to explain it in a supplemental form, and it all depends on how long ago the incident was and how you explain it -- whether they think you are likely to repeat the offenses or similar ones, etc. I'd call the admissions office at the school and ask to speak to a counselor about it (while still working on the app in the background) to see what the response rate normally is to probation.
