Hey y'all. I had posted a thread on help with admissions a while back and I have a question.
I had applied for the School of Social Work at UT. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me more about it. Whether or not it is competitive to get into. I haven't been able to find any information about admissions to this school. I had also applied for the School of Nursing as my second choice. Is this school also very competitive to get into?

The school of social work is one of the easiest schools at UT to get into. If you are admitted into the University you will get into the school of social work. Think about why the other competitive majors are difficult to get into (Business, Engineering, Architecture, Plan II Honors). It is because these majors are strenuous and require high SAT scores and class rankings to get into. The school of social work is dedicated to teaching students who want to serve the community and society in general. They don't need to set rigorous academic thresholds like the other demanding majors. So long as you are dedicated to service they will take you. Before you post these threads do some research and use common sense.
