Ok so I want to transfer to SBU for the Spring semester and so far I have a 3.48 GPA with 25 credits at NCC. I've read on their transfer admission website that their minimum requirements are 24 credits and a 3.0 GPA. If you have exactly 24 credits/ 3.0 GPA does that guarantee admission into the school? Are there any specific requirements for their economics department?

No, that does not guarantee admission. They look at things such as your current standing and maybe even your ACT or SAT score.

With your GPA, I think you WILL get in. I transfered to a university with a 3.6 GPA and they didn’t hesitate to let me in.

As for department requirements, you should ask your current advisor or contact them to ask the requirements.

Thanks Aspire007. Ill ask about their specific requirements for economics & they’re not going to request SAT and ACT scores because I have 25 credits.

“If you have earned fewer than 24 credits at the time of application, your high school transcripts and SAT scores must also be submitted (only students with strong secondary school credentials will be considered for admission).”
