Admission versus Financial Aid

Hi Everyone,

I received my cute little "singing" acceptance letter yesterday afternoon. The card sings "Congratulations: when you open it and the letter is in inside. It did not say a word about financial aid though. Does that mean I didn't get any or is that a seperate letter that goes to the parents?

I am pleased at being accepted but I don't know what to think about the financial aid. I would have thought they would have at least told me "you didn't get any" or "you got X number of dollars" but there is no mention of it at all which makes me think I got nothing.

Any ideas?

they will send you a seperate letter

First, congratulations on being accepted! That is great news. What school is this? Some schools send out their FA package separately, while others include it with the acceptance letter. Depending on the school, some people may be able to tell you what is the common practice.

The financial aid award letters and information came four or five days after the acceptance letters in a packet.

Its foxcroft which does not get posted about much here because its primarily a "horse school" its all girls.

I am very excited to be accepted and hopefully its just a seperate letter that comes. If you don't get any financial aid do they tell you that or only when you do get it?

Thanks for replying

Oh, I am not familiar with Foxcroft's FA procedure. What I would suggest is to have one of your parents call the Admissions office tomorrow and ask them about the FA grant. Good luck! I hope you receive the FA you need :)

Congrats on your acceptance! (all girls "horse schools" are pretty awesome, lol...I go to one). They'll probably send a separate letter with financial aid information.

que?
"Horse School?"

Schools known for their amazing riding programs...

oh, thx

Tenchar

that means you got some.
if you didnt get any f.a., they would of sent it asap, or with your acceptance letter.
trust me..i would know.

Two years ago when my son was admitted without f/a, the school sent a letter to us prior to March 10th letting us know that he had been admitted but without any fa. They wanted to know whether they should still send his acceptance packet. Last year he applied again, received online notification of his acceptance and got the f/a packet in the mail the day after March 10th. So...it sounds like you will get some f/a.
