Just got a letter from UCSD saying my transfer admission has been withdrawn because "We have not received the following official document(s): Blah Blah Community College"

What could that mean? I'm freaking out here because i'm pretty sure i have sent everything in. Could it be my official transcripts from the cc? I just called the cc and they said that they did send the official transcripts. So what could it be? I dont exactly know what "official documents" means.

Thank you for any help. I will be able to call the school tomorrow morning but for now they are closed so any help/info would be great!!

Call them and ask. It sounds like they didn’t get the records from the school and you need to track them down.

^ Yeah I’m really hoping that’s the case because i am positive that they did get sent out. Maybe the post office screwed something up. Either way, i have to wait to talk to them tomorrow morning. This is gonna be the longest night of my life ha

It doesn’t say what official document, simply official documents?
IF you are within driving distance of both schools…
Call in the morning and speak to someone who knows just what they are talking about. Get them to email or fax you confirmation of the documents you need. Let them know you are going to contact the Community College to get the documents yourself. Ask who you should ask for when you bring the documents in.
Call the Community College and let the know what you need, your admission for transfer has been withdrawn and you need to get the documents ASAP. Let them know you are on your way (politely) and who should you speak to to get the documents.
Take the documents to UCSD and hand deliver.

If you are not close enough to go to both schools, I will assume you are close enough to get to the Community College, simply change the above by finding out from UCSD who you should overnight the documentation to and who you can follow up with later the next day to confirm receipt (I suggest FEDEx or UPS) with online tracking.

Good luck!!

Thanks for the help. I really appreciate it. And yeah all it says is “official document(s)” so im not exactly sure what it means. I really hope it’s just transcripts because there must have been an error on the schools part or the post office. Hopefully if thats the case then i can still get in

This happened to me as well!! I called the admissions office and while some of them said I should appeal, one person said that my admission was reinstated (I called multiple times). However, when I checked the UCSD website, it still said my admission had been withdrawn :(

It would be a good idea to call them in order to find these documents and tell them that you thought they had been sent. If the CC did send them, then they are probably “lost” somewhere…
