Do you feel it was easier to get in this year as an OOS student rather than an in state one?
^I don’t know how anyone’s going to be able to answer this, considering half the applicants haven’t heard back yet and the other half only knows whether or not they personally got in (i.e. “i’m instate and got in so it’s easy”)
I got in OOS with stats that seem mediocre to get into a university like this. You never know with college admissions-- it’s all about making yourself seem relevant.
Yeah but very few of OOS admissions will join because the UCs are now prohibited by CA state law from giving aid to OOS admits. And I do not think most OOS applicants knew about that when applying to the UCs. OOS yield will most likely be half this year so if UCSD waitlists, expect that to be very active.
