admissions chances for ( aveage student ) son?

My son has superlative work experience within a sports team environment, which is a real benefit supporting following weaknesses:

2.97 gpa
Several honors classes.
No APs
22-25 on ACT
average of 510 on three SAT sections ( new)

He is taking the ACT and SAT again this fall after being tutored.

Any thought on Northeastern Schools to consider? Any suggestions?
Boston University General Studies
Babson
Bentley
Northeastern
UMass Amherst
U Conn

Any hope here? Hopefully he will have higher scores after being tutored.

Thanks!

Does his school offer APs? What kind of work experience/ EC does he have?

I don't know about all those schools, but I'd say he's in at Northeastern. For BU, he'd have to raise his standardized scores in his next testing probably. I hope that helps and isnt completely false :)

If he could raise the GPA to at least a 3.0 and bring up the SAT a bit...he would definitely be in at Northeastern, UMass-Amherst, and probably UConn. BU, Babson, and Bentley are reaches probably...
