Obviously you can never be guaranteed admission anywhere. However, by taking ECE courses, the acceptance rate jumps from the mid 40% to the low 90%, which, in my eyes, is basically saying that you’re pretty much going to be admitted (as long as you’re not failing, convicted of any crimes, etc.)
if I have NO CHANGE at all since i applied, should I assume rejection?
Does anyone have a pay deposit link?? We have the UCONN email…not sure if it was always there though. The financial aid link was just added yesterday and the Summer Financial aide link this morning…nothing about scholarship. Are those that see a scholarship link from in state?
I’m also in state, I have the FA link as well as the email but no scholarship or pay deposit link
Does anyone have the “Pay Room Reservation Fee” listed under my account?
I think everyone needs to chill and just wait it out. A notice will come eventually.
Hampering on the smallest of details wont help at all. In fact even if something changed who knows if it is good or bad? The only thing to do is wait and see.
I have an email address and “View Financial Aid” link as well as the summer one, but no scholarship or pay deposit link. I’m OOS.
My D has an email but that’s been there from signing up for an ECE. My opinion is that the email address might not mean as much. We have the scholarship link, too, which i’m hoping does mean something.
As for the Pay deposit link, we don’t have that but we do have the thing under My accounts which says Pay room fee. But that could have been there before - no idea.
Seems like the people with no change shouldn’t freak out, though… last year’s board had honors/scholarship kids getting in weeks after others did.
As for chilling out and waiting, well, that’s no fun!
My D was admitted about a month ago. As you all know, the bulk of notifications will be released within the next week. Pay room fee means nothing until housing is awarded (but there is a housing request form that asks a bunch of questions, likely in a preliminary attempt to match you with someone at least semi-compatible). The link doesn’t actually do anything, even if you have been admitted. I think that part kicks in later in the spring. She had not been paying a lot of attention to the admissions portal, but I believe the email address is something that is assigned when you apply. I could be wrong on that, however.
Be patient, all. Don’t stress. There’s enough to already stress over in life. Your waiting will be over shortly. Good luck to everyone.

@Poppopct my son has exact same status. We are OOS.
I also have the same exact type of status as you, I’m OOS in NJ @Poppopct
Keep the faith:) hoping for good news for all. @cbpmom and @mwalkernt
I am going to spill magic upon you children! Go on your student center and go on other financial and scroll through the options and click “View 1098-T.” Click the arrow. Then click, Electronic Payments/Purchases. If the option was there and it shows you to pay $150, then you have been accepted to UConn but it will not specify which region you are accepted to. Glo
Hey UC
is it possible its only a branch deposit?
Thanks
Yeah. Last year when I applied I got the Pay Admissions Deposit with out seeing my official decision and I got all excited because obviously I thought I was accepted into Storrs. However, it turned out to be just a branch. Now I’m trying to transfer in. I would urge people to just wait for the official decision.
@stratford58 It is possible that it is for a branch deposit but it is too early to come to conclusions. However, you can pretty much assume that you have been accepted into the university system.
I don’t see that option
I received a letter in the mail today from UCONN awarding me a scholarship for the DMD program. I called the number and asked if that meant I was accepted into the school, as well as the program. She informed me that I was accepted into UCONN (Storrs Campus) and that Uconn made the decision on the 22nd so it should be updated soon/ receive an official letter. So excited!!
@TomMattson DMD program?
