Admissions Decision

Sounds like you were accepted but not into the Business School

Has anyone else not received a decision online yet?!

Finally received my letter! I saw the decision on the portal on Friday 2/27, but the letter here is marked 2/24.

I don’t see any merit aid info, however…for those that did, where did you see it? Was it on the letter of admission itself or somewhere else in the packet? Or is it safe to assume I just didn’t get any…

got admission notice on portal Friday, acceptance letter in mail today with Storrs brochure; although no scholarship information/paperwork, unfortunately.

@swanqueen‌ It would be in the second paragraph on the white sheet.

@feartheENGR yIKES…guess that means i didn’t get any…anyway thanks for the help :slight_smile:

Kind of frustrated that because I’m an international applicant (actually an in-state applicant but had to apply as an international student, long story) they won’t give me any merit but still accepted me into the honors program

The merit aid for the honors program was 5k. However my brother did not get into the honors program and still got 5k. Anyone else feel like there is something wrong?

received $15k in merit scholarship in the acceptance letter received today, oos, no honors college though but cash iis fine w me! 2040 SAT, 31 ACT, started environmental club at school

My son received his acceptance letter yesterday to Storrs. $12k in scholarship.

Got rejection letter to Storrs yesterday…
From MA.

@almostthere12 and @bigdtah4 That is amazing! Is this per year or over the 4 years? I didn’t think they gave out that much per year…Nice!

@HuskyMom‌ it’s per year. He received more from other school so I wait for him to decide

Hey @BostonSportFan, we are also from MA and got accepted into Uconn and UmassAmherst, got no $ from non of them, but with instate price-we are on Umass. If you want you can take my son’s spot at Uconn. We are passing on Uconn.

@bigdtah4 I hear you. This is going to be a tough decision for my daughter as well, the question of “how much debt do I really want to be in upon graduation”. Ugh. We are in state, so UCONN is really the best “deal” for her, but we shall see!

@HuskyMom‌ yes I completely agree about the debt. My oldest will graduate in May from SBU with only $12,000 in debt for 4 years, i think that’s pretty low. If middle son goes to Uconn that’s what he’ll owe each year since were OOS.

Yeah, debt not good! Even though my D got 12k per year that is still around 33-35k per year. Umass will be about 21k per year (after scholarships).

Interesting, while looking at the numbers I noticed that UMass is about $5500 less per year for OOS than UCONN for OOS.

Anyone else in state get more than 5k?

@MHMdad‌ I wish i could! I got rejected as a business undeclared major, I will most likely end up at Umass amherst as well because it’ll be much cheaper than other schools that are 33-55k per year.

I just got my acceptance letter yesterday. I got into the honors program with 15k a year. I have a 34 ACT and 4.25 GPA. But I’m OOS and still waiting to hear from other colleges.
