There's a rumor on FB that NYU decisions are out - is this true? I thought they release decisions on the 1st of April.

I haven’t recieved an email so I don’t know if that’s true can someone confirm this??

From what I’ve seen on this forum and the website, the only people that find out during March are those who are placed in the LSP program and those who receive large scholarships.

I heard this from a guy who isn’t very nice. He may just be trying to mess with me. If anyone has heard, please tell.

I have not got anything.

Admission decisions for LSP are out. Maybe that’s what the guy is referring to?

yeah I’m pretty sure if you’ve applied RD to a specific school, you’re going to find out on april 1st. Someone on here quoted something from nyu’s website that said admissions decisions will be released on april 1st via email after 5 p.m eastern time [though I cant find this on nyu’s website]

lsp and scholarship recipients are being informed through the end of march, so hang in there nyu hopefuls! =/

I have two friends who have heard that they were accepted and another who has not heard anything. NYUhopy is right - some decisions are out, others are not. Hang in there and good luck!

I was going through the ones from the last couple of years, and the posters were admitted into cas, tisch, stern, steinhardt etc (not just lsp) with or without scholarships. Why is is taking so long to send out the emails?

Last year, my son received an email inviting him to attend an event at NYU for “accepted” students. That’s is how he learned that he was accepted to Stern. The email was sent on 3/19/10, and created quite a bit of confusion. I don’t think that they were trying to notify students in that manner.

Just to throw in my two cents,
It seems like the MLK and DEANS Scholars are the ones who received decisions because we’re all set to visit NYU at the beginning of April (I applied RD).
Hope that helps!

What’s the exact url you go to in order to see the decision??

I got an email from NYU. They didn’t give me any website to go to.

what are the average stats for acceptance? And is Stern harder to get into than CAS? I applied for Environmental Sciences, CAS.

Well I can’t speak for everyone, but my stats are posted around here somewhere, so you can check those out! And I applied to CAS, idk about difficulty of admissions, sorry.

My friend got into CAS today RD, no scholarship. I got nothing.

My friend got into CAS RD yesterday, finaid yet to be determined. I don’t think I have heard about any Stern acceptances so far, I think I heard about a Tisch photo acceptance though.

Do you hear it through email or mail ?

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions will release admission decisions on Friday, April 1st, after 5pm (Eastern Standard Time)

All decisions will be sent via email and will not be released over the phone or posted anywhere on our website. We will begin sending decisions after 5pm, but given the volume of decisions to be mailed – nearly 40,000 – it will take some time before each applicant receives his/her admission decision. If you have not received your admission decision by Monday morning, April 4th, you may call the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and we will provide you with your admission decision at that time. Please understand that we only provide admission decisions to students and never to parents or other family members.

Who’s the person that got in for photo?
