Anyone know when decisions come out? Will they come out through mail or internet? Thanks!

Snail mail only for US students. E-mails and first class mail for Internationals. Last year’s group started hearing back in March, and it lasted all the way until April 1st. NYU is super slow with mailing stuff out.

hey guys, not to hijack this thread or anything…but does that mean NYU doesn’t post up decisions online for US students?

nope 10chars

do you know what days they first found out? I heard march 26th???

march 10…

so i know that nyu doesn’t post decisions online, but does anyone know if there is a status check website because i have not gotten anything from them regarding if my application is complete or not.

NYU does not have a status check website. You have you call them to check on the status of your application. I haven’t heard anything either.

okay thank you! looks like i’m going to have my mom call the admission office sometime this week because i’m kinda scared of them

march 10!? that seems kind of early. and only three days away omg!!! ;)

If you think you’re missing something - don’t worry. NYU only bothers emailing you if you are indeed missing something.

March 2010

For freshmen applicants, March is a “wait and see” month. In the admissions office, we are busy finalizing admissions decisions, and all decisions - offers of admission, denials, and wait list - will be mailed during the last week of March so as to arrive on or about April 1st. All notification for US postal addresses is by mail; we provide admissions decisions electronically to students outside the United States.

We are also planning events to welcome our accepted applicants. Each school at NYU will host on-campus visit dates for accepted students the weekend of April 10-11, 2010. Additionally, the College of Arts and Science will host sessions for accepted students on April 9, 2010. Admissions staff will travel to 13 cities throughout the United States to greet accepted students during the weekend of April 17-18, 2010.

These events are by invitation only and will only be open to accepted applicants for the fall 2010 term. Reservation instructions will be sent only to accepted applicants.
