Do I set up my buckeye email even if I’m not sure if I will attend Ohio State?
I was accepted yesterday but have not received an email. Should I be concerned?

tOSU is one of my top choices so I am absolutely ecstatic! Now I play the waiting game and see if I get enough money so I can afford it haha. Does anyone know if there is a FB group?
Forgot to say that my app was submitted 9/20.
They emailed (to my personal email account) instructions to setup a Buckeye account back when I submitted my application. That account allows me to access the portal and the Future Student section where I confirmed I was admitted. But it seems that my Buckeye Webmail account is not active. I assume Buckeye webmail would not become active until I enroll.
For those who stated you received an email from OSU, can you confirm if that was to your personal email or do you have access to your Buckeye Webmail.
Thanks!
Personal email. Check your junk folder.
@itsgettingreal17 did the email say anything or was it just the email about your buckeye link.
I checked my junk folder. There was nothing in there from OSU. The email I received came weeks ago and it was only about my Buckeye link.
I got into Ohio State last night around 8 p.m after checking at least 20 times (I used to be gradesfordays but my account is having issues so I just decided to make a new one). The portal says I have been accepted however I haven’t gotten an official email from the yet. I checked my junk folder too but no dice. Any ideas as to why I haven’t received an email yet? Also, I’m hoping all of you on here will be accepted so we can all be Buckeyes together!
My Stats:
3.5 UW 4.044 W
28 ACT
8 AP Classes and 1 Dual Enrollment

Heavy involvement in clubs (Key club, Senior Class Vp, Environmental Club President, NHS, etc.).
I just received an email giving me instructions on how to create my buckeye email, so maybe emails are sent out in the order of who got admitted? Good luck to those who are still waiting on admission!
I got in
ACT 32
Gpa (4.06 w)
Out of state
It says accepted in the portal but I have not received any email from the college yet.
Accepted!
I got my email at midnight!
GPA: 4.0
ACT: 27

So Excited, Go Buckeyes!
Congrats to all who were “Accepted” yesterday. Those who did hear back, sit tight, your decision is coming soon. Do not feel disheartened.
The buckeyelink seems down, Cannot log in. Does that mean they are planning to set out more decision today?
@ccyen328 Unfortunately no. The system regularly goes down on Sunday mornings for weekly maintenance.
If this post belongs elsewhere, please feel free to direct me to a more appropriate file. My D is waiting on a decision from OSU and having read some of these posts about class rank being so important, I wondered if anyone has a sense of whether OSU’s statistic of choosing students in the top 25% of their class is difficult to overcome if you fall below it. My D is ranked in the top 1/3 of a very competitive high school class, although she would be in the top 25% (or higher) if only her high school weighted its honors classes - her gpa would be higher too. For class rank and gpa at her high school, D is on the losing end for taking more rigorous classes because her A- average ranks below another student’s A average with easier classes. I should mention that D’s school doesn’t provide ranking to colleges unless requested, but I’m sure college admissions can estimate based on the school profile. Just concerned that colleges are more interested in maintaining their college stats, but I hope this isn’t the case, and believe that OSU has a lot more integrity than that Would appreciate anyone’s input.
One other thought…maybe unranked students aren’t counted toward that statistic, like UVA appears to do?? http://avillage.web.virginia.edu/iaas/instreports/studat/dd/adm_rank.htm
@jaycbee if her act(or sat equivalent) is under a 28 than it may cause some concern. If she is above a 31 or so it shouldn’t matter too much especially if she is in the top 1/3 but I’m only s highschool student so I don’t know for sure.
@soyunchico Her act is a 29 so she is right on the line.
@jaycbee in state or out of state?
