Admissions Decisions Class of 2021

What does the nonresident surcharge for nonresidents mean?

I believe ithe “surcharge” is the difference between out of state and in-state tuition. It’s my understanding that with prominence, you only pay room and board even if you are out of state. Distinction is a full ride ( tuition plus room and board ). That is just my understanding from my research

Is it possible that decisions come out today?

Did this happen to anyone else? I got my direct admission to fisher in the mail but never got my acceptance letter and packet in the mail?

That happened to my son as well. Have yet to receive his acceptance letter in the mail but got his Direct Admit letter to Fisher on Thursday.

Is today the second wave?

Where’d you hear that? @Zpower99

@JPGator98 last Friday supposed to be the second wave but it didn’t happen, so I am thinking the next weekday after last Friday probably is the second wave

I just called them, the next wave will come out in TWO WEEKS. Apparently they release decisions in the middle of the month. So this will be the second wave and then the third comes out in mid January. Well, that sucks.

so Friday the 16th?

@hannah2799 - Wow. Thanks for calling. That’s a bummer, but at least we know not to check obsessively now.

Well, @hannah2799 that is a better answer than me and my friend got today at lunch. We each called and they told me to expect an answer between now and the end of January and told her to expect an answer between now and the 15 of January.

This is a change from how they did it last year. Last year they released on 11/20, 12/4, and 12/11. I stopped paying attention after that because my son was accepted on 12/11 but I believe they started releasing almost weekly at that point.

I can imagine that they are receiving hundreds of calls every day asking the same question about decisions. For them, it is best to under-promise (end of January) and over-deliver (sometime sooner).

I was accepted a few weeks ago and got a DA to Fisher. Scholarships are TBD.

GPA W: 3.99
ACT: 30 superscore, 29 composite, 33 on essay
Really good extracurricular and full schedule of honors and AP courses.

Hope this helps!

Hey y’all, I commented on here earlier even though I’m a transfer student. But just so transfers know and haven’t found other forums yet - I got accepted! 3.04 GPA, current junior, will be attending in fall 2017. Congrats to all the freshmen getting decisions!

OSU t-shirts for girls on sale today.
