@dogloverrrr in Wave one on 11/17 the first acceptances started rolling out around 4:30 Eastern, with some rejections noted around 3:30. Notices continued to roll out until about 7pm Eastern…at least those are the times CC users started posting decisions.
I applied 10/31 so I don’t expect to receive news quite as early as others, but still concerned. I’d like to know how they decide who gets accepted in the first wave vs. the fourth wave if some have said people with lower stats got admitted before some with higher stats.
Date applied: 10/31/17

I’ve been checking the appstatus.osu.edu site multiple times a day since the day I applied. I’ve been very anxious and just want to know, whether good or bad. Knowing they only update on Fridays may stop my craze (hopefully). lol
@PES2018 Do you know if it was considered complete by the early admissions deadline? I know on the Ohio State site it says all materials must be received by the deadline for the application to be considered complete and on time. http://undergrad.osu.edu/apply/freshmen-columbus/apply-step-by-step In step 2: “Application deadline
Deadline for all required application materials.”, Step 3: “This application plus all required materials (STEP 4) make up a complete application. We must receive all items by the application deadline.”, and Step 4: “These items plus your admission application (STEP 3) make up a complete application. We must receive all items by the application deadline.” If unsure, I’d call or shoot an email for confirmation it met the deadline.
@oreo32 Thanks! No, she is fine. Considered EA even by her 10/32 application. The dates were the status on their end of when the items were processed. Still waiting to hear . . .

I am so nervous for the decisions to come out!! I barely slept last night because my stomach was in knots for today. I hope I hear back today, waiting another month would kill me! Good luck to all!

I’m yet to hear anything. I’m unfortunately in the same boat as @meganroth20 with my application date. I gave my teacher exactly two months to write my recommendation. She waited until 10/30 to start it, and didn’t submit it until 10/31. Very annoying. Hopefully I am in this wave though! Whether I get in or not, I just hate waiting.
Parent here anxiously waiting. At least my daughter doesn’t appear to care. Ohio State and Miami University are her top choices and she appears to have stats needed to get in with 31 ACT, 4.3 GPA, 300 volunteer hours, and strong ECs but you never know. It seems like it gets harder each year to get into Ohio State. She thinks she’d like to be an engineer and Ohio State has higher rankings for that program than Miami so hoping it works out since we are in state. She applied to Purdue but the OOS tuition is not in our budget.
