Admissions Decisions - Class of 2022

@TheLastJedi Did you speak to an admissions rep for that info?

Based off of observational skills, I was able to deduce from previous years that this is a likely possibility, however we won’t be sure until friday at 3:30. Best of Luck! :-bd

Good luck everyone!!

I called the Ohio State Undergraduate Admissions office today, and they confirmed that they do expect the first batch of decisions to start rolling out THIS FRIDAY. I forgot to ask what time, but he said that we can expect these batches of decisions to continue on Fridays through mid January. I know last year, they did not send decisions over the Holiday weeks, but we will see how it goes this year. He also said that the first batch of decisions may NOT correlate with those who applied earliest. I feel both nervous and excited for my daughter. He said that the decisions will post to the online account first. If it currently states evaluation, it will change to accepted, deferred or rejected, I believe. Then applicants can expect an email and finally a snail mail letter. I hope this helps. I wish everyone the best!

My D applied to Honors program / Nursing major on 10/31. I can’t imagine we would hear back quickly.

Extremely anxious to find out my admissions decision, whether it be Friday or not. Best of luck to all my fellow applicants for the class of 2022, can’t wait to watch the acceptances roll in on Friday!

@Snap222 Thanks for sharing. Hoping for good news in this first round!

does anyone know how they decide when people get accepted? Do the highest-ranking applicants get accepted first?

@reg314 I’m not sure how they do it, but I know it’s not by highest-ranking. My school closely work with OSU,so I trust what my guidance counselor says. I also know many people with super high scores (34-36 range) that heard back later than others with not as super high scores (27-30) last year, the year before, and the year before that.

My daughter was accepted in the first round last year. She submitted her application very early (a couple of days after it came out). Based on her friends who were accepted, it seemed that the kids who submitted apps very early in the process and also had high stats were accepted first. Those who had high stats but turned in apps closer to Nov 1, were accepted later (Dec/Jan). Kids with lower stats were accepted (and sometimes rejected/ waitlisted) later (Jan-April).

First round last year was out around 3:30 PM EST, probably the same this year. Good luck!

Good luck to everyone today (and all the other Fridays until all decisions are out!). Go Bucks!

I heard 3:30

Now is 3:30…
Waiting for it! Good luck every one!

Nothing yet for me! Please be sure to post if you get a decision today! Good luck and go bucks!!

I was really hoping to hear back today, but I did get my application in last second. Back to the waiting games I guess.

Still waiting as well, got mine in pretty early

I’m refreshing the portal every two minutes lol

@showoto I’m pretty sure you can still hear back today! They begin releasing them at 3:30 however I believe they continue to release decisions through the rest of the afternoon/evening.

@abbeykinz1215 oh gosh, that doesn’t make me feel better, now I’ll just sit and wait all night. I don’t know why I’m so worried, I should have no problem getting in.
