He must be great if they called him already! That’s wonderful news.

Well, do you think Pace is done with notifying accepted students?

Amy has begun making phone calls to accepted MT students, not to be confused with the phone calls by the admissions department. All official MT acceptances will go out by mid-March. Meaning that if you have not received a phone call yet, it does not mean you have not been accepted.

BRbway thanks very much for the clarification (even with all the “nots”) :)

do you know if Amy will be calling all of those accepted for MT? or will some just receive their acceptances via mail?

@classicalbk haha I didn’t know how to properly phrase my sentence without the plethora of “nots”.

Amy WILL be calling ALL accepted MT students through mid-March.

Seems like this thread may be improperly named. Should say “Anyone accepted for Fall 2011 yet?” Who renames these things or does someone need to start a new, appropriately named one?

I changed the title to the thread to reflect the topics and content of the thread. It was an old thread from last year regarding admissions decisions for Fall 2010 and then people for this year’s admissions cycle started posting on it, when ideally a new thread should have been started. Regardless, the new title is explanatory and reflects the entire content of this thread.

so if I haven’t yet received a phone call… have I not been accepted?? I called the performing arts office and they said any calls made were unofficial and that everyone gets a letter…I have gotten the academic call. Does anyone know if Amy has made all of the calls???

@kumquatkitty: if you read a few posts before yours, you can see all the answers to your questions.

yes, I am aware of that but I guess I was hoping for an update and if anyone had anymore current information.

According to the Pace facebook group, someone just got waitlisted. They were notified by mail yesterday.

I was waitlisted today by mail.

I auditioned for the BFA acting program on February 26. I was auditioned by Cosmin Chivu. I first performed my dramatic monologue, and then he asked to see my comedic. Afterwards, he worked on my comedic monologue with me for a few minutes. Is this a good sign? Also, I have yet to hear anything back yet, is that a good or bad thing? Or does it not mean anything? lol

My friend was also waitlisted today. I hear they waitlist 5 girls and 5 boys

I don’t know anything about the acting side of the process, sorry caseypuppy1!

The waitlist is not numbered, but is done by “type”. So if your “counterpart” declines admission, then you will gain entry into the program. Does that make sense?

@caseypuppy1-- My D was accepted for the BFA acting via snail mail letter received 3/11. She auditioned the last weekend in January. Her friend (a boy) was admitted as well. Not sure when he auditioned. That’s all I have heard of and I don’t know any more than that! Hang in there–I know this is so stressful!

Still haven’t heard anything for musical theater…
is there still a chance Amy hasn’t called all those accepted?

@mom24girls- thanks for getting back! This may sound like a stupid question but are the acceptance letters sent out in big envelopes, like the academic acceptances were?

BRbway- at our Q & A back in the January auditions Amy specifically said one of the many things that makes them unique is that they don’t look for/have “types” because today’s Broadway typically doesn’t have types anymore.
