ransomedheart, that’s just not true.

I’m sure you guys who have been around a lot longer know better, I’m just repeating what she said.

@caseypuppy–it is in a large envelope, just a single sheet of paper inside with the letter. Crossing fingers for you!

What I heard at the audition Q & A was that types are different today than in the past. Pace tends to do more contemporary productions so they don’t look for the types that were seen back in the Golden Age. This is like that phone game…

@mom24girls- alright great! and thank you!! Based on what I had said about how my audition went, do you think my chances for getting accepted are good?

My D did her dramatic first and then was asked if she had anything else. She then did a comedic. After she finished the auditor said “thank you, that was what I needed to see!”. I wish I could give you any insight but I can’t. Just hang in there and know I am wishing good thoughts for you and all the kids waiting!

thanks! do you know who auditioned your daughter?

Does anyone know if Amy is till notifying accepted students for MT?

They don’t exactly say that there are no “types” anymore, but they do operate on the ideal that there are soooo many non-traditional roles/archetypes currently on Broadway and being written for the future that they choose to nurture performers that are geared with the tools to be in revivals and understand the roles they could play in them, but a bigger emphasis is placed on forging a new path for themselves for the “new face” of Broadway. They choose actors with unique characteristics and abilities to create their own new type.

So by “type”, I meant that like any other program they will not take, for example, 6 small blondes, BUT they might take 2 small blondes that are totally different, (one might have a crazy, rock voice with a high-strung energy and the other might have a lovely MT mix with an earthy energy; whereas some other programs might take 1 small blonde that either fits the ditzy/brassy track [Nancy Anderson/ Barbara Cook-ish] or the pretty ingenue, legit track [Jill Paice-ish]) and keep 1-2 other small blondes on the wait list. Does that make sense?

@caseypuppy1 A gentleman named Grant.

ahhh I’m going nuts! I still haven’t heard anything back! I’m dying to know whether I got accepted into the BFA acting, or BA Theater Arts. Does anyone know, if getting your letter later is a good sign or bad sign? Do they send out denials first and then acceptances? Or do they just send them out all at once? Please help!! lol

Has anyone been rejected from the last weekend of auditions?

@sassystage- when did you audition? I auditioned the 26th, and still haven’t heard anything

Same day! I’m worried we’re getting set up for a whole bunch of rejections…sure wouldn’t be a change for me at this point! So close and yet so far! :O

Ah i know!! I have heard that they send out the rejection letters first, but I don’t know how true that is My audition went really really well, so I’m just crossing my fingers. How did your’s go?

Ok I’m getting really anxious and a bit paranoid, has anyone gotten accepted into pace’s BFA MT or acting majors yet???

I haven’t heard anything yet either. My friend received a rejection letter Monday and I live pretty close to her so it’s weird I haven’t heard.

I heard a lot of acting majors have received their letters and MT calls started beginning of the month. However, I also heard a couple of the MT majors now did not receive a call only a packet stating they were accepted so there is still hope =)

All phone calls for accepted MT phone calls have been made. As well as letters to waitlist students.

Those that are being considered for the BA Theatre Arts with a Commercial Dance focus will be getting letters this week.

I called today to see why I hadn’t received a letter and they offered to send me an email of my acceptance letter to the BA Theatre Arts Dance focus!! Apparently they were sent out the 25th! Good Luck everyone!

@BrittanyMichelle congrats I still have yet to hear from them :(
