[] Volunteer/Community service: 146 hours at Hospital + Library
[] EC short answer (subject and personal opinions on it): Ran an online Go (board game) Tournament
[] General Essay (subject and personal opinions on it): It was about coffee. Let’s just say the essay showed a sense of humor.
[] Second Essay (subject - and personal opinions on it): Talked about recession and the union of mathematic principles and creative endeavors in business.
[] Teacher Recommendation (only if you saw it): Awful, teacher read it out loud to the entire class, it was basically a list of the accomplishments I handed to him
[] Counselor Rec (only if you saw it): No idea, but I’m pretty sure she tried her best even though I didn’t know her (I’ve had three different counselors in the same high school)
[] Additional Rec (only if you saw it):
[] Interview: Richest woman I’ve ever met in my life. I was horribly nervous before the interview since she had told me to sit in the study (didn’t know people still had those rooms) and the extraordinarily expensive furniture and decor made for some pretty nervous shaking, but I fixed that with a couple of jumping jacks and fist pumps. It went fairly well, nothing amazing about it but she was a heck of a lot nicer than expected and we had a decent hour-long conversation.[/ul]
Other[ul]
[] Areas of Interest Listed: Business Administration
[] School Type: Public, used to be pretty career oriented (we used to have auto-shop class until a couple people died from accidents). There’s still classes like Bistro (chef), cosmetics, and construction.
[] Ethnicity: Filipino
[] Gender: Male
[] Hooks (URM, first generation college, research, etc.): I might be URM? Both parents went to college and I didn’t even know you could do independent research in high school.[/ul]
Reflection[ul]
[] Strengths: Grades/Scores, but they’re not outstanding
[] Weaknesses: barely had any subjective stuff at all
[] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Lucky[/ul]
