admissions decisions??

I burned my Ron Brown Scholar rejection letter, sprinkled the ashes in my tea, and drank the scalding liquid in one gulp. And then I woke up, and the goshdarned letter was still there.

no letter here – Queens, NYC

Letter in MD.

Everyone probably knows this but Ill just say it incase someone doesnt: letters were mailed friday the 26th. My dads give interviews for the school and got an email saying that. Obviously people have got letters already but I guess you can calculate what day you get it but knowing that maybe. good luck to everyone!

my dad gives**

^Haha that’d be interesting to have two dads BOTH from Georgetown ;)

Hi everyone. I am the mom of a son who is very anxious about this one, hoping to get in, of course. So that we do not have unnecessary heart attacks (LOL) when the “letter” does come, Are saying Georgetown sends thin letters for acceptances, not a package like many of the other schools, at least the ones my son applied to? So if we get a thin white envelope, it could still be an acceptance and not necessarily a rejection. What is the yellow card I am reading about on this thread?

Thanks so much!!
Good Luck to all of you!

Yes acceptances come in thin white envelopes containing three sheets of paper (one green and two white). I believe the yellow card is for waitlisted students to inform the university if they would like to keep their spot on the waitlist.

Small envelopes make this process infinitely more stressful. I really do hope that the letter gets here on Monday though…

In the past financial aid information usually comes several days (like 10-15) after April 1st. I’m very surprised to hear you say you got both so quickly burry.

Letter in MD.

.

When should international students be getting their emails?

I live in San Diego, do you think I’ll hear on Monday?

i second chairmanSam1992 . when do we get our emails?

@MattLeinartFan: I’m from socal too… I’m pretty sure we should bank on the letter arriving on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Thank you Hoya for the information. Now the waiting continues…

I got my letter yesterday, but that’s because I live in NoVA. I got waitlisted :(

The few that did get letters yesterday can ya’ll post your stats so we see what types of students there accepting. Thanks!

no email notification?

I am an int’l, looks like i’ll know 2 weeks later

I’m hoping for some good news after so many waitlists. But I’m losing hope.
