Are they ready yet? I'm looking for number admitted EA, applicants EA and RD, expected yield, expected class size, etc.

No, we're still reading apps.

galen

<sorry for="" high-jacking="" this="" thread=""></sorry>

Galen, are we supposed to get notified when part #2 of the application is received/processed? I am yet to get any sort of confirmation, although I was e-mailed when part #1 was processed. The e-mail (dated Dec 31st) said I was going to receive a URL, username and password 10-14 days later so I can review my application's statuts, but I haven't gotten anything... :(

Yeah, me neither. I suspect that they're just really bogged down trying to get stuff out to everyone, but I'm not sure. Some people have received the E-Mail, so I dunno.

I'll ask Rick and get back to you.

Gallen

For number, from what I heard today I think we admitted 150 EA, and expect to admit 400 RD. We are, as always, gunning for a class of 215.

Devious_:

Here is a response from the admissions director:

This is someone for whom there is a problem. We've notified all completes and incompletes at this point of their status. This student should call us ASAP at 626.395.6341 to find out what the situation is.

Hope nothing horrible is up.

galen

I e-mailed them and they replied. Everything's sorted out. :)

Thanks Galen.

all the confirmation emails sent out

You people are efficient!

hey i've not received the e-mail confirmation for Part 2!!!

Today is 9th Feb 2005!!!

I have a quick question: my school recently put up a filter to get rid of spam from outside. The trouble is, the filter filters just about everything. If CalTech sends me a conformation email, and it bounces, what will they do? Should I give CalTech a different email address?

Give us a good email that doesn't bounce. Call the office to make sure your app is in.

Apparently Caltech hasn't gotten my SAT II Writing score (which I took in December), although the back of the score report thiny I got in the mail says they should have.

Any advice?

Is there a phone number on the SAT score report that you can call? If nothing else, you could try reordering.

devious, have you talked to Caltech about your Writing score or are you just going off of the status website. I applied EA and when Caltech sent me the link to check my status, it showed that they were missing my SAT II Bio score, which I had taken on the same date as my SAT II Writing (which they had). I called and talked to someone in the Admissions Office and they were able to fix it.

Devious--I don't know what it is with this December SAT II, but Caltech hadn't received the Math 2C I took back in December as well. I called College Board customer service back in early February and told them my situation and they sent a follow-up report free of charge. I just checked the status site a minute ago and it said I have everything in.

Speaking of the Caltech Admissions Office, I called a million times to confirm if my scores and recs came in... and everyone was SO, SO nice. It always makes me happy to talk to other happy people... it DOES!
