Admissions office- Super score vs Composite

The college I am applying to super scores ACT. Lets just say on the first test you get 30E 30M 25R 25S, but on the second test you get 25E 25M and 30 for R and S. You get the same composite, but a higher super score. Lets also say that the avg act at that school is a 28. Will the admissions office take the composite 25 into a slight consideration or only focus on the super score, since the school does super score? Thanks

I’m not sure how to edit comments, but I meant would they take the composite 28 into consideration or just look at the super score of 30.

If they say they super score then the only thing that goes to the admissions committee/officer is the super score and the highest individual scores, so they would see only 30’s across the board in your case above.

@CU123, do all schools now super score the ACT? Thank you.

No. While I have not sat down and counted, I would say that most schools don’t superscore the ACT.

@skieurope - Thanks, Ski. Have been doing my own research as well. Ran about 20 schools among my S’s top choices and about 1/3 do not superscore. Love the opaque language on some of these school’s websites…lol.

Most schools do not superscore ACT while many do superscore SAT.
