Admissions Package

When you finally get your acceptance LETTER (not email), what comes along with it?

For regular decision applicants.

Curious too. Also, what mail service does Chicago use for international acceptances?

I was an EA admit, so it may be different for RD kids, but this is what I got:

The acceptance package is a nice white and red folder with the Chicago phoenix on it. It includes a copy of your decision letter, a certificate (“[name], having qualified in all respects, is hereby admitted to the class of 2014”), a form and envelope for you to tell them whether you’ll be coming, and information on paying your deposit, housing, etc. I would guess that the RD package might also come with finaid/merit info, but maybe they do that separately?

How low after the online decision date did you get the mail package?

Oh, geez, I’m not sure. A few days?

RD acceptances are different, though they too have a nice certificate. The acceptance packages are absolutely lovely, so get excited for them!

We live near Chicago and the Admission package arrived the day after online notification. Admission letter etc. plus the financial aid letter.

My acceptance package just came in the mail today!

then i should get it today, too! because nh isnt too far away from ct…

Was it UChicago that said all the admissions were sent by two-day priority mail and rejections/waistlistees were sent via regular mail? Or am I mixing up schools?

I’m in PA and I got it today too. Really nice materials.

So I was admitted, but I haven’t yet received the letter in the mail. Wouldn’t they all have come by now if they were sent on Friday?

I got the financial aid package in the mail today.
