Admissions Process -- SAT Scores

I sent my SAT scores from the collegeboard last week to a school for the Nov. 1st early action deadline. The CB scores said they were sent on Oct. 18, but the school has not processed them yet. How long does it usually take for the scores to arrive/be processed?

Scores are electronically dumped. There is no lag time – no reports sent through the mail. Likely your status just hasn’t been updated.

How long it takes the college to show it has received the scores after it has actually received them varies but it can be a week to two weeks. If “sent” October 18, that means CB put your score into an on-line account the college has with CB for dumping scores on Oct 18; in other words delivery occurred on October 18. Then it is just an issue of when the college goes into that file and then matches the score with your on-line application file with the college. It is usually that stage that takes the longest amount of time.
