<p>How are the apps read? How is one evaluated? Are there just like some people sitting around a table that read your stuff and put a stamp on it?</p>
<p>There was an entire book that described the admissions process at Ivies (specifically Dartmouth), but the information regarding the Academic Index and the competitiveness at the schools is outdated. The process may still be the same, though, so check out Michelle Hernandez's "A is for Admission." The process is what we'd expect it to be.</p>
<p>Thank God the AI isn't as influential as it used to be. I toyed with it, plugging in numbers. Depending on how your school ranked, you could go from a 6 to a 9. That's just dangerous. I just thought it was funny that they spent so much time telling people that they "don't want numbers," and in the end plugged in digits.</p>
