admissions rep visiting your school

hey everyone!

so i applied yale scea and im absolutely FREAKING out. earlier this year an admissions rep last minute decided to visit our school during the day. it was nothing formal, but the rep knew i was VERY interested.

i go to a small private school and he had been in communication with my guidance counselor.

there were only about six students who were at the information session and i made it very clear i was interested.

my SAT and numbers are VERY low but i do a crazy amount of community service and i have even worked internationally for my service.

would his visit have any bearing on my application? at this point, this is me being paranoid because i dont think i have ANY chance of being accepted :/

HELP!

Probably not. Yale gets a lot of interest. It has a high yield, so it’s not as though they really have to scout for interest.

No, I doubt demonstrated strong interest has any bearing,

Have confidence in your application, grasping at straws leads nowhere.

I unfortunately thought the same thing.

ohhh wellll. -tries to have confidence in application-

I am sure it helps, but it probably won’t be the deciding factor the gets you in or keeps you out. If you get in, it is because of your own accomplishments, and the yale adcomm’s faith in your abilities!
