Wow I can not count how many times I have repeated this situation but honestly you all are pretty much my last bet so PLEASE HELP!

Okay here is the deal, I applied to for UCs and Ive been accepted to my first choice which is UCI, and on the UC application I am aware that I was required to take TWO SUBJECTS from SAT II however the only time i had a chance to take it, the only and the last opportunity was last December, which i did, as I waited for the scores to arrive I realize i took MATH LEVEL I instead of II and the other subject was Literature, and i know that the UCs would not accept the math score. Now that I have gotten my acceptance letter and they think I have taken two SUBJECTS that I will input later I am afraid that they will deny my admission. I do not want to go through the SIR and the Housing to be denied and everything is nonrefundable!! >< So, being as worried as i am I called at the beginning of April and no one had the chance to help me, i messaged them at the msg ctr and they said it takes up to TWO WEEKS! to reply and yet, after two weeks NO REPLY. So i called today and i told them my situation it was probably a student working there because she was no help at all she gave me my counselor's phone number BUT my counselor seems to be busy because when i called she told me to call next week. -- talk about helpful? sigh anyways.. i am really worried they will deny me after i sign
so the SIR deadline and Housing deadline are coming up and still i do not know what to do IF ANY of you can give me a piece of advice i would be SO grateful please..

so heres the sum up

1: i applied to UCI got accepted (yay!!)
2: My SAT II SUBJECT came and i realized i did not take MATH II and took MATH I (stupid -_-;)
3: I am afraid that i will be denied from my admissions to UCI because of this, since i would technically only have 1 subject to submit
4: The Office of Admissions is of no help AT ALL especially the counselor (sorry i am not trying to make a fool of them at all i like UCI its just theyre not as helpful)
5:I am here wondering what i should do

my other option would be UCR but knowing theyre both UC they would both have the same requirements in regards to the SAT II Subject Tests :[

Please any information would be great!
i asked on Yahoo already and they kept telling me to call again but the thing is ! would be that they have been no help and do not know where i am standing at so THANKS SO MUCH for input/reading/advice etc....

I don't really know that they accepted people that only had 1 SAT subject score? I thought you were automatically denied if you only had 1...

Are you sure you can't use the Math 1 score? What I would do if I were you is take another subject test right now ASAP...I'm not sure if they'd accept it but it's definitely worth a try.

i appreciate this you two :/ most likely they are going to reject
because i called my counselor again today and i asked her about the situation
she just said "most likely you are going to be denied your admissions"

UCI is not that supporting, quite sad..

but anyways yes i asked her if i could take the SAT subject for just one more such as MATH II

she said i missed the deadline which was last Dec.

but im going to try anyways because if i can not go to UCI im going to community

hm.. you know it is really odd that they still accepted me even tho i put my MATH I score

i dont think they considered even looking over my Test requirements..

thanks btw kutibah AND Westmere you two are really helpful <3

Actually i was thinking of doing that but i dont know if i wanted to risk it
the SIR has a $100 nonrefundable fee and also the $20 for housing
theres so much fees
i dont want to go through the process and lose $120 and also be denied

should i still do it? do you think it is worth it? because i am still debating that

well, don't even try to sneak in with wrong test info and grades. You have to send in the official scores anyways and for grades/scores. They verify them 100% of the time I believe.

If you took the Dec test, then UCI would have received the scores in Jan, well before they made the admission decision. In theory you would not be accepted because you have not fulfilled their requirement. However either they choose to overlook it or they did not notice the mistake. So they accept you. So what is there to worry.

okay thanks everyone! im going to UCR they said taking the MATH I was fine
which confused me.. but ill take my chances there and i called UCI again this was like my 5th time they said they would deny me so im all set i guess

^The UCs (except for Riverside, apparently) don't accept Math Level 1, for whatever reason. If you take a Math SAT II for them, it has to be Level 2.
