FOGEE you the man. I haven’t received my letter yet, while everyone else has, and my transcript hasn’t loaded either.

some website

I got in on saturday. Will be studying the communications department. How about everyone else?
My stats were:
SAT: 1890
TOEFL: 117
IB: 36
No idea what GPA is or even how to calculate that.
I had a crappp load of extracurriculars including student council, yearbook and three sports.

Got in friday as a psych major

Not sure if I’m going to attend next year but it’s definitely high on my list. It’s basically the only big school I’m considering

Im waitlisted:(
I’m going to appeal just cause this is my number one choice and my mom said I can’t go to Chicago where I was accepted at the illinois institute of technology. And if if that doesn’t work then I’m gonna go to community college in Seattle and try to transfer.

@teemo321

Sorry to hear that. All the best with the appeal. I still havent heard from them

Whoa, wait. Teemo321, are there any other schools you got in that you can go to? If so, I would highly suggest going to one of them and then transferring to UW if you’re truly unhappy. You’ll have a better time (socially, academically, socially again) at a 4-year school than a community college, and transferring is ALWAYS an option =)

Well i got waitlisted today as well. I figured I post my stats up just to help anyone else since I gained a ton of knowledge from reading these forums.
OOS: California
GPA: 3.71
1 AP 1 Honors
5 EC’s (started most of them senior year unfortunately)
ACT: 28
SAT: 1690
Pretty solid essays I would think.
I turned in the waitlist form with straight A’s through my first semester. Does anyone know what order they begin to accept waitlist applicants in? Thanks a bunch

If I got the email about Spring Preview Days, did it mean i got admitted?

I think UW accepted more out of state people than washington state residents. We all know why though…out of state tuition costs more so they are trying to get more money. It sucks b/c of budget cuts. that’s what my teacher said though.
I also heard that over 24,000 people applied this year…that is crazy.

Does anybody knows what this mean I just got my transcript uploaded today and everything seem normal compare to others. Until I see this listed under my race/ethnicity.
“SPECIAL PROGRAM: EOP-3” Does anyone know what this is? Oh and also this

REGISTRATION AND TRANSCRIPT HOLDS ON RECORD:
OFFICE DATE PLACED TYPE
EOP 03/23/11 REGISTRATION

"I think UW accepted more out of state people than washington state residents. "

Not true. King5 news reported that 2/3 of the people are washington state residents, and 1/3 are out of state. More out of state then last year, but not more out of state then in state.

“You’ll have a better time (socially, academically, socially again) at a 4-year school than a community college, and transferring is ALWAYS an option =)”

I disagree. Teemo has the right idea. They will have an easier time transfering if they go to a washington community college then a 4 year school. community colleges have a higher preference then 4 year students.

Also, I transfered from a community college to uw, and I loved my experience from community college. There were only 1-2 bad apple teachers…most were not only good but amazing (one teacher is better then any teacher ive had at the UW so far). The prices are way cheaper then at the university level., and you get more personalized attention at a community college (30 or less students) then the same level class at a 4 year college.

a good community college and then transfering to uw is a GREAT option.

Is anyone else STILL waiting to hear? I’m seriously starting to think that the neighbors have her letter.

I think Teemo’s plan is a good one – especially economically! You’ll be patting yourself on the back, Teemo, when you’re 30 and all your peers owe $100,000 in student loans and you don’t.

@EmptyNestTime . . . I still haven’t heard anything - but I applied for summer quarter so maybe they are doing those applications later. Who knows?

I’ve called Admissions several times and they keep telling me they are still working on applications and letters will continue to go out until March 31.

This is torture!

Thanks for the info, UWDawgs – sorry you’re still waiting but glad to hear that it’s not just my kid.

I can’t find the link to unofficial transcript anymore. Does anyone have this problem?

Still nothing today!

Frustrating!
