Admissions to honors program

Julis, where did you find this information?

I know that last year, students were admitted for a variety of reasons, and that their grade point averages and test scores varied and were not necessarily as high as all of this would suggest.

that is the honor program for IT students i think....
i don't think an english major student need to get 750up in sat math...
anyway~~ how's ACT score? would they look at the individual part of ACT?

yea they do but composite matters more. they mite look at one section tht pertains to ur major.

I get the information from the IT.
Even for IT, it still seems unbelivable.....

Well...the IT is a very highly selective program and so it only makes sense that of those they admit, they hold the honors students to that much higher of a standard.

Where are the honors decisions...seriously! I am so antsy.

Just Calm down....
I am just wondering if they will Email first?

I'm pretty sure since it's more or less an update of your enrollment, it might show up on the website, but usually they don't email with stuff like that immediately.

Not accepted.

azr...wut were ur stats? wat college r u in?

azr- how do you know that you werent accepted...? did you email or call them about it?

My dad called because we were all getting anxious and he had to give them my social security number but then a counselor that's responsible for my school called him back and told him. She said that if they were doing it like last year I would have been a shoe in but because the application pool was so much larger, the cutoffs had to be much more strict than in previous years.

And I'm in CLA. 32 act, 3.86 unweighted, top 13% of my class.

MY god……
Getting more nervous....

Game Over...
Honor program Reject...
No scholarship either...
I think I am not going UMN....
sigh
