Hello! I’m about to start my last year of high school and after years of pinning for my expensive, out-of-state dream school, I’m feeling a bit unrealistic with the tuition and such. I’m beginning to lead towards attending FSU for two years, then apply to my dream school (Stevens Institute.) My question is, should I apply to SIT this spring and see if I get accepted even if there’s an extremely small chance of me attending next fall? Would getting accepted this time around make it easier to transfer after my second year at the state university? Thank you in advance!
If you can’t afford it why would you apply and then be downcast if you got in and can’t attend. Remove it from your list and from your mind.
Because there’s a small chance with scholarships and grants. Basically I’m wondering is if I got accepted this time around, would it help me in transferring in two years?
No. These are not related decisions for Stevens. Getting in and turning them down is not going to make them feel more positively towards you two years from now.
So it wouldn’t influence it positively OR negatively? Don’t want the admissions board to hate me :-< Thank you!
