When admissions review you ACT score… do they care more about the composite or the sub scores? I’m asking because my composite is a 30… but my sub scores range a whole lot.
Math- 25
English- 35
Reading- 31
Science- 28
I applied to be a health science major (I know it’s a capped major)…
I am curious about this too. Son has a 30 composite but his English is way better on another test. I know some schools look at Math and English primarily. Wondering if Clemson just focuses on the composite. Also, any reason Clemson superscores the SAT and not ACT? Curious?
The fact in and of itself that some of your subscores are higher than others is to be expected as we all excel at different things, so the composite is most showing of your overall abilities. The only thing in this scenario is that your science and math scores are what are lowest which have the most to do with what you want to major in… health science. But good luck I applied as well! Honestly though at this point there is nothing you can do about it, so do not worry and focus on all of the positives your application has to offer!
