AdmissionsDaniel, Question About Transcript Discrepancy

Hi AdmissionsDaniel, I just want to get an answer about this from an admissions officer. I applied to JHU and sent in my high school and UVA transcript (I take classes there, even though I'm still in high school). I didn't realize until a few days ago that the UVA transcript didn't have listed on there the final grade for the course I was taking last semester, or actually, didn't list the course at all. However, it is listed on my midyear high school transcript (albeit an abbreviated name) and the grade I got (A), and I also listed the course in the list of courses that I was currently taking on the application. Will the admissions people be able to put 2 and 2 together and realize what is going on? How much better would it have been if I had sent an updated UVA transcript? Thanks.

Wow, this waiting makes you all come up with truly some of the most bizarre questions and scenarios ever!

There is absolutely nothing to worry about. Myself and my colleagues are quite keen on understanding high school and college transcripts and can usually deduce what is going on. And if we ever have questions, that is why guidance offices have phone numbers.

Admissionsdaniel, it's great to have you here to answer our questions! Do you think(do you recall) JHU adcom reviewed new updates sent in(by fax) last week?? I'm pretty sure that my update was powerful enough to overturn a decision(most likely reject).

We try to review updated materials when they are submitted but we can not assure any applicant that materials received after March 15 will be added to one's file in time for review.

if supplemental materialss were sent prior to march 15th, do you think they will be reviewed? Also, do admissions officers take extenuating circumstances into account while making their decisions? Like my sat and gpa are slightly lower because of this. I am really worried!
