I’m instate!

Has anyone been accepted into McCombs yet? I’ve heard that some people have gotten rejected and placed into their second choice majors so far. I’m not top 8% and haven’t gotten anything back yet.

I’ve seen a few people on this board say they’ve been accepted into McCombs already, but I think all the ones I’ve seen have been OOS students

I’ve heard some people from OOS got accepted into McCombs.

A friend of my son, in state, non top 8% was accepted into McCombs and heard yesterday. I think he is ChemE

^
First choice ChemE, second McCombs? ChemE filled yesterday.

Sent from my Inspire 4G using CC

Wait how do u kno that chemE is already filled up?

I am dying from uncertainty, I am a homeschooled student, so there is not alot of post regarding homeschooled student being accepted or CAPed. I got a 1500 exactly on the SAT and 3’s and 4’s on my AP exams and most A’s in my classes (3.7 unweighted) but I dont think the admission officer is going to take my grades seriously since I did not come from a traditional learning enviroment. I am very proud of my essays I wrote ( I had it read for errors by my tutor COUNTLESS times and the online tutors) I read twice we will hear about our application by the end of this week. I hope that is correct. crossing fingers

My older son was homeschooled and was admitted. They will look at your SAT scores and your AP scores to validate your grades. If you have outside grades, from dual credit, online or coop, that will also validate your homeschool grades.

Bump :)

My friend still hasn’t heard from UT. She is practically pulling her hair out D:.

If you don’t get a decision soon, does that mean you will most likely be denied? Seems like closer towards their date, the more likely a deny is.

Top 9%, admitted into McCombs last week…in state

@familyguy0108 i would actually think otherwise… i think it means you’re a tough decision- you are probably still in consideration for admission

@wk4231 I hope they have faith in me to accept me at their school.

Hello,

Tomorrow night all decisions will be released. Check your MyStatus and email.

is this for real??

oh my goodness that is horrifying. I’m gonna be a nervous wreck tomorrow :<

what about in state :(:(:(

@Duke58: Is that specifically for OOS only, or will instate applicants be notified as well? I would hope we’d know sooner than or at least at the same time as OOS applicants.

@MWCollege12: Most likely OOS only. I too am instate, and while I want to know my decision RIGHT NOW, I can understand that UT wants to put their decisions before some other universities to bolster diversity.
