Any OOS Kids In to First Choice Yet?

<p>I applied to Chemical Engineering and am yet to hear back. I am OOS... have they started to accept out of state kids to their first choice yet?</p>

<p>Yea I got into my first choice mid-December. I’ve also been accepted to the Plan II program already. I’m pretty sure I’m an anomaly though.</p>

<p>My OOS S got the message about being a leading applicant and being guaranteed admission, but hasn’t been admitted yet to College of Natural Science.</p>

I’m saying I think I’m an anomaly because the majority of the OOS applicants on this forum have yet to hear back and I heard back over a month ago, not because I’m some sort of “super applicant” that they just had to accept as soon as possible. Stop being so sensitive over a forum and don’t put words in my mouth.</p>

<p>And to answer Jelly Beans, I submitted my transcript Nov 17, but submitted my online app on Dec. 1 and my Plan II app on Dec. 5.</p>

<p>I think it is totally dependent on which school and which major a student picks. Some are fast and some aren’t. We will all know soon enough!</p>

<p>ahh goodluck everyone! i’m anxiously awaiting my decision too. i can’t seem to get a clear answer from anyone, are OOS judged more or less harshly than non top 8% texans?</p>

<p>Well I guess I started worrying too soon… I checked online and I was accepted to Chemical Engineering today! Thanks for everyone’s input.</p>

<p>And nataliebella they are two different pools of kids and I don’t think one is necessarily more harsh than the other. It just depends on the number and quality of the applicants.</p>
