It’s true!!! Came from the admissions counselor listed at the bottom of the original message. You can call him and verify…

Will they email me or do I have to check MyStatus Page?

I’m gonna be really sad of its not today, even though I’m kinda expecting it

ok i just called Mr. Talamantes, the one who released that message that all decisions will be released tonight at 5PM. and he confirmed, that yes, ALL decisions will be released tonight between 5pm and 11pm. in-state and out of state.

i just called the admissions people and they said they haven’t released anything…we should hear back by march 1st

So i just called Mr. Talamantes and he said they start releasing it at 7 Austin time…for everyone. And i told him some lady told me march 1st…he said that they notify the transfer students march 1st. I feel like they are lying to us!!!

Oh dear, there obviously a confusion among the admission department, because some people on here are saying today and some people are saying March 1st. Right now I am having an issue logging in. I don’t know if it is becauseof my grandmother’s computer is crappy or because the website is not working because they are sending decisions to alot people at once, most likely because of the crappy computer.

@UTSTANFORD I figure there was a confusion. Thanks for clarifying :)

haha yea like all of this doesnt make sense…they are totally trolling us…jk;nbhgdigb!!! ohh man

They shouldn’t do this to us. Alot of us been waiting for months ! ( I finish my application by the end of Octocber) March 1 is too long. Waiting til 7 is too long for me. Now I am going to repeatedly check my email and UT MyStatus web. This is killing me !

From UT Admissions Counselor:

Hello,

Tomorrow night all decisions will be released. Check your MyStatus and email.

MICHAEL JOHN TALAMANTES M.Ed. | Director | El Paso Admissions Center | Office of Admissions |

The University of Texas at Austin | 10801 Gateway West, Suite 300, El Paso, Texas 79935 | 915-591-4984 | bealonghorn.utexas.edu

Hi guys,

Is anyone know when will the result for International be released?

This is from admissions in El Paso not Austin.

The march 1st decisions are from the BHP office, not the central office. The central admissions office decisions will come out before the BHP decisions.

Was that email sent today or yesterday?

OK guys, here’s the deal. I actually did call Mr. Talamantes and he said that it’s today, not March 1st. He seemed a little tired of hearing the same question over and over (understandably!) so I would recommend not calling since enough of us have. I think it’s safe to say it will happen tonight; he seemed very nice and not like he was spewing out some arbitrary date. And yes, to confirm, he does work for UT Austin but in the El Paso office - has nothing to do with El Paso schools.

As for me, I have never been more scared about anything in my life. I’m not the kind of person to freak out about a million Ivies or anything, but I’ve wanted to go here for as long as I can remember.
Good luck everyone.

So do these admissions decisions that are planned to being released tonight include those to a specific major? I have been waiting very patiently since August when I sent my application too see if I would get into mechanical engineering.

^ That I don’t know. But since UT seems to be very strictly split into its various schools (administration included), it would only make sense that the acceptance letters are clear about your situation (first choice, second choice, or neither). Don’t hold me to that. Hope you get your major.

Yeah, it should be by major because UT’s admission process is through each different school. It goes by first choice, second choice, then goes to undergrad undeclared and then if they don’t want you you’re CAPped or rejected.
